Joe Colombo – Model 4801 Chair for Kartell, 1968

The 4801 lounge chair, designed by Joe Colombo for Kartell, is one of the most iconic expressions of late 1960s Italian design.

Unlike the earlier laminated wood versions, this example is produced in molded plastic, emphasizing the Space Age character of the design. The smooth continuous surfaces and open structure give the chair its distinctive futuristic identity.

This example is in excellent vintage condition, showing only minimal signs of use consistent with age. The structure is solid and the white finish remains beautifully preserved.
