The design is beautifully simple: opening the cube activates the light, while closing it turns it off.
The result is almost architectural: closed, the Cuboluce is a minimal sculptural object. Open, it becomes a directional light.
That transformation is what makes the design so compelling. Nothing is added. The form itself controls the light.
I selected the Cuboluce for its combination of simplicity, functionality and visual wit. It is a small object with a surprisingly strong personality.
