Joe Colombo -Visionary Italian designer who revolutionized furniture design in the 1960s with his futuristic, modular approach. Colombo believed in creating flexible living spaces for the modern age, designing iconic pieces like the Tube Chair, Universale chair (the first injection-molded plastic chair), and the revolutionary Multi-Chair. His work for Kartell, including the Model 4801 chair, showcased his mastery of new materials and bold, sculptural forms. Though his career was tragically cut short at age 41, Colombo's innovative designs remain timeless symbols of Space Age optimism and forward-thinking design.
